Uniting, empowering, celebrating caring communities

Uniting, empowering, celebrating caring communities

The Mosaic Community Trust builds on the existing strengths of global majority women and families in Church Street and surrounding areas, reducing health inequalities, promoting wellbeing, and strengthening community leadership.

Our Mission

To recognise and build on the strengths of women from marginalised communities in North Westminster, so they can develop the knowledge, confidence, and leadership to improve health and wellbeing, challenge inequality, and drive change for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Our Vision

The Church Street community and surrounding areas in North Westminster are healthy, happy and thriving. We want to see our caring communities access appropriate services, advocate for themselves and each other, and use their voices to drive positive change.

The symbol of a mosaic is our way of showing that everyone has something valuable to offer. Together, we form something stronger, more beautiful, and more connected.

Our work is anchored to three pillars: uniting, empowering, and celebrating caring communities.

Uniting

We bring diverse communities together by challenging isolation, prejudice, and religious intolerance.

Through culturally-informed programmes led by women from within the community, we create spaces for connection across differences, trust-building, and integration into wider society. This enables women to thrive as confident citizens, leaders, and neighbours.

Empowering

We know that the women we work with already hold the insight and potential to drive change.

We build on these foundations by upskilling individuals to manage their health and wellbeing, directly address inequalities, and strengthen their communities.

Celebrating

We build strong, connected communities where care and belonging are central. Partnering with health providers and policymakers, we help make support more accessible and culturally appropriate for racially marginalised communities.

We believe community wellbeing grows when local strengths are recognised, celebrated, and mobilised. Through inclusive activities and shared spaces, we foster connection, reduce isolation, and nurture pride and collective care.
