A Psycho-educational Approach to Mental Health and Wellbeing for 50+ BME women living in Church Street

– Reducing isolation and social exclusion –

bbb2.jpgMosaic is running a project to support 50+ women with their mental health and wellbeing. This project, funded by the London Catalyst Hospital Saturday Fund and Westminster City Council Ward Budget Programme, is increasing mental health awareness in the Church Street BME community, in particular the understanding of mental health issues, i.e. causes, signs and symptoms, prevention, reduction, treatment and self management.

Mosaic’s is pioneering a psycho-educational approach and working in collaboration with IAPT Westminster, we are training our Indian Head Massage Therapists to provide tailored wellbeing advice during massage therapy. At the same time Mosaic is working with local service providers to improve access to services so that they are more culturally appropriate for BME women.
